So last month I decided to make some breakfast sausage. I normally butcher the buns at 5 lbs. which gets me about 3.5 lbs. of meat per bun. I like to make batches of 25 lbs. and got to thinking how many buns would I need to butcher for 15 lbs. of meat. I decided instead of butchering the buns I waited an extra month and now they weigh 7-8 lbs. and there are 4 that will be butchered Saturday.
