Buck fertility: what age????

Small breeds grow faster. I've had 8 week olds breed. Then sometimes you can't get 8month olds to produce a litter. It really varies by breed and by individual. Usually best to wait until 6months or your buck may just get beaten up by a frustrated doe without having a clue what he's doing or the hormones to drive him to keep trying.
 
thanks akane! I have a 4-month buck who I just separated from his cage mate, he'd been giving it the ol' college try. Will wait another month or two before trying to actively breed him.
