But this time, it's not with the bunnies :)
I went to go feed the bunnies, and lo and behold... A broken leg!!!
The leg was rotten all the way to where the wire (on the floor) was and must of cracked.
It was on Marshmellows cage, so I just moved her to Oreo's old hutch.
Right now it is pouring rain, and really humid (98, I think it is a lot)
So I don't think I'll be able to fix it anytime :|
But... At least the bunnies are okay!!!

Oh, and just to ask, how do I prevent the rotting?
just so it doesn't happen to Charlie's hutch :)

Is the leg wire or wood ?
You got me confused :)
Stick a cement block or a plastic crate under the cage for a quick fix.

it's wood :)
the leg is rotten, so if I did prop it up it will just get worse
(I tried it already...)

I have 4 outside hutches that are wood with wire. For summer use.
3 of them we had to do some repairs to after I bought them used.
I got the 3 of them for half of what 1 new would have cost.

The 4th one I just got this past week. Not sure why one of the
legs looks like it was gnawed on. Guess I better check it out better.

Can you put something under the cage to hold that corner up ?
Till you can come up with a more permanent fix.

well....
I was thinking of moving her to Oreo's hutch anyway, cause it is bigger, and nicer :p
And then when she has babies, I'll move her back to her old hutch.
But.... All the legs are rotten... (I just noticed that :p !)
I will probably just put some new ones on, how big should the be?

Pressure treated lumber stands up well to the weather, but may be toxic if chewed. Redwood and Cedar are two woods that stand up to the elements in their untreated state. Teak is another, but is expensive.

You need to worry about it cracking under the weight. Wood hutches tend to be very heavy.

Marshmellow's hutch is the lightest, but I have broken one of the tiles by hitting it with a hammer :p (I wanted to break it :p)
Oreo's old hutch is REALLY heavy :) it weighs about 70 pounds!
Charlie's is really low to the ground, and really light, so I might take off the legs and put on some new ones.
Do you think the tiles would break?
