I have been thinking about the pros and cons of breeding in the summer.

I have been looking at the weather over the past year. For May-July temps have been on average from the high 80's to mid 90's. With spikes of up to 105 once or twice a month.

If I was to breed my does at the end of May they would kindle around the end of June and should be at butchering size by August. We live on the river and the winds can be crisp even in the summer.

Provided I could keep my rabbitry around 78*. How would the does and their kits fair?

What's yalls thoughts?

If you managed to keep your temps down to 78 all summer, they would probably do fine. But then it depends on how well they handle the heat. Rabbits that get heat stress easily will be especially stressed when breeding.
