Breeding and Income Tracking

Hey everyone!
I was using Everbreed to track breeding, due dates, nesting dates, number of kits...and it tracks income and expenses too. However, it is around $150/yr. So, I thought before paying for a subscription, I would ask...

WHAT SAY YOU? What do you use? Is it cost effective? Does it work for reminders for upcoming births? Please help.

Thanks for making this thread. I had glanced at Everbreed before but not closely. Would you mind telling what you liked and disliked about it? Obviously, cost is a factor, as it should be. Thanks.

I personally use Kintraks, not sure if it has reminders for due dates, but I know you can input when you bred specific rabbit and also it has income and expenses area (I've only played with that part lightly, so can't say how great it is). But I like it for keeping track of all the rabbits, their personal info, and making pedigrees. It takes some playing with to find all the features, but it is free. So might be worth trying it out and seeing how you like it before paying $150.

I've nearly finished building my own database in Google Appsheet for rabbit and litter tracking, including a simple CRM to track who we've sold what rabbit to. I have a reasonable understanding of databases (though I'm by no means a software pro) and have found this a fun project but well aware of the app's limitations and there is more manual stuff at present than I'd be comfortable with to share the app. Being an accountant, I have a separate spreadsheet for income and expenses (which automatically spits out an income statement and balance sheet, of course ) - I'd share it but it's not written for non-specialists and contains absolutely no explanatory notes on how to use. One day I'll complete this and share it...

I'm a bit of a Google Sheets aficionado...mostly because it's free, haha. But I use it for everything from expense tracking to Dungeons and Dragon's character sheets. I only have one rabbit, so it'll be a minute before I'm ready to buy a proper rabbit registry software...but I'm aaaalways keeping a look out for things to learn in the rabbit world!

I don't plan to pay for Appsheet to publish the app so I can only give you the schema and instructions, but you should be able to create your own app within an hour or so from that. The income and expense tracking is a separate spreadsheet and I don't intend to integrate it to the app.

Honestly, I love it. It is super easy to get started. Getting everything set up, scheduling breeding, tasks reminders, financials, you name it. The $150/yr for unlimited breeders isn't bad for everything it does, but I always try to find a better deal.

I can't get it to work on my chromebook.

I like that Kintraks can keep track of any breed. I will check it out for sure.
