My rabbit has bloody urine. He is a 4 month old english angora male. I don't know whether this could mean there is an illness or if it is okay. Does anybody know if I need to do anything about it?

Karen has it right... I can remember my doe, Lily, urinating a creamy yellowy orange colour and just about had a heart attack. A little bit of research told me that the pee can run from white to red-orange and from normal liquid to creamy looking and still be healthy. It's really scary the first couple of times though!

Just keep an eye on him, but I'm sure he's fine.

Rabbit urine can be a variety of colours. In winter, I see cottontail urine in the snow. It can be yellow, orange, red and sometimes even blue or greenish. Depends on what they are eating.

Thanks everyone! I did give him some alfalfa, that probably changed the color of his urine!
