Can anyone tell me what would cause a 3 week old kit to have cloudy pupils?? It is healthy and has been healthy since birth as is the mother. He had a sibling who was a peanut. I am so upset!

I don't know how to post a pic but he just looks like his pupils are cloudy. Not the whole eye. No head tilt or anything. Should my breeder doe be culled?

I wouldn't cull the doe unless you were 100% sure it was something genetic or incurable that came from her.

I have read that cataracts were a possible inheritable genetic condition. But, I'd think more test breeding would be in order before that could be determined.

That is what I was thinking Dood, but how when I have kept all cages clean and power washed, I culled the other doe, this doe and that never were near each other. I clean daily, I have been extra careful. I just don't understand. My last litters were all fine, I prob had 15 kits from different litters and none of them had ec, just that one in my.previous post. Makes you want to throw in the towel although I know that when a person has 30 holes, it is going to happen at times. Any advice?
