I know its been covered many times but I cant seem to find it  my search abilities must be awol tonight.

What are the best water nipples and where do I order them from?

Right now I have half of my cages set up with a gravity fed, float valve bucket system with the nipples screwed into pre drilled sleeves but the nipples are NOT repairable.

Someone mentioned a nipple that could be taken apart and repaired so that is what I am aiming to add on, this thing with water bottles and bowls is driving me crrrrrrrazy!

I ordered mine off of Amazon. vktech I think. the tees are a bit on the thin side, but as long as you don't twist the tubing on them, they aren't too bad. mine are holding up so far, but I have backups just in case.

I have a couple of different brands, and so far I think that BASS has the best quality valves.

Are the BASS ones repairable?

Looking back at my records their watering system kit is the one we went with but, as I now have to double it, I want to be able to either rebuild, or repair, a broken valve.

I started with a flex system and it was a nightmare with the valves leaking and breaking, ugh! NEVER want THAT again!

Yes. You just pry off the plastic end cap. There is a valve stem and a spring inside. The valves will leak if even the tiniest piece of debris gets past the plastic end cap. Usually it is a grain of sand or a piece of PVC plastic if you used a saw as opposed to a PVC cutter when installing the system.

Mine have a plastic "screw" insert that you screw out of the back and all the inners come right out. Clean, repair, etc... then screw them back together, and pop back into the tubing.

The vktech ones I got I think were $7.50 for 20, and setting aside the "issue" with the tees, they function just like all the other ones we've seen. Then again, the tees aren't a problem, as I am one to keep extra supplies on hand anyways, "just in case".
