attempted palpating

I think I'm getting better at this palpating thing. The first rabbit I felt just one iffy "grape," and she kindled 13! I just checked Gaia and Starr. I felt 3 in Gaia's tummy and 2 in Starr's. I guess I'll see if I'm right in a few more weeks! :mrgreen:

I'm glad you are getting the hang of it.

OAF taught me how to do it when she was here, but I still only feel a few at most. I think I felt 3 or 4 "grapes" with Mysterious, and she just had 11! :lol: As long as I feel one I am happy, since I know they are prego, anyway!

If you palpate her with her hind feet off the table, she will relax her stomach muscles....or at least she *should*.... Put your hand under there and then lift up her hind quarters until her feet leave the table while you are palpating.

Ha! I did that to Silverado. I THOUGHT I felt something, then she tried to bite me for pinching too hard, I guess. But I felt something and she was definitely pregnant so I call that a win.

I think I read somewhere it was between 9 and 12 days after breeding that you should be palpating?

I've tried with the 2 litters I knew Lily was pregnant with, and didn't feel anything. One day I'll feel it, and then probably freak right out, lol.

Around day 25 or so you should be ale to place your hand under her and feel the kits move easily.
