I bred my REW mini lop doe to my new (yay!) broken smoke pearl mini lop buck. Then it crossed my mind: WHAT IF THESE COLORS AREN'T GOOD TO BREED TOGETHER?! Yes, I know, I bad. I noticed that after the fact. I blame it on Baby Rabbitosis! ;) So, my brain is fried from trying to figure out what kits I'd get out of this breeding. So I'm just gonna let one of you guys figure it out for me. :bunnyhop:
I think I figured out their genotypes. The REW genotype is aa B_ cc D_ Es_ enen and the Broken Smoke PearL genotype is aa_ B_ cchl c dd Ee Enen
So, if someone can figure this out, that would be great. :D

Breeding sable (smoke Pearl is AKA blue sable) to a self based REW is a good choice for a cross in most breeds and thankfully Mini Lops can be shown in practically any colour but I'm not sure if steel sables are permitted

How are you calculating the genotypes?

Steel sables are not permitted and Im almost sure I did the genotypes wrong. I figured out the genotype for the color and then added the rest based on pedigree info.

Steel is only visable in agouti rabbits so as long as the REW and broken smoke Pearl are both self then the steel gene will be hidden and it won't matter :)

You should get 50% sable based and 50% REW from this pairing, it will depend on recessives whether you'll get blue, chocolate or torted sables (called sable points) in the litters
