Hey everyone!

I have a friend who is about to get into showing her cremes and I don't know a lot about them. I had permission to borrow her photo to post.

I read in the SOP that it's a fault for cremes to have a head that's too dark but how dark IS too dark? Neither of us have shown them before so I was looking for someone to remark on the head color of this buck (and other other coat specifics)

I do have the SOP here, but can't find any photos online to really reference

It's going to depend on your competition. If all cremes in your area have dark heads because no one has bred for anything else then you will have no issues. If everyone else has bred for uniform color you might not place as high. Although if you concentrate on one thing something else usually suffers so it's possible the rabbit would still place high based on type while the others only excel at color. Best way to find out how your rabbit will do is to go to a show and see what's there.

I don't know specifics on showing but I had to comment to say

ahhhhhh I love this colour, I knew I would. I've never seen one (nor could I find a photo) before and oh it's just as lovely as I thought. I was looking for one a couple months ago, gave up the search though d'Argent's of any kind are hard to find around me I guess, would like to find at least a photo of a blue and brown also.

I managed to come up with one creme d'argent doe but no buck. She was supposed to be bred and we'd keep a buck but that never works out for us and the people breeding in the area have questionable practices. I decided to wash my hands of it and cross her out then cross her to that offspring to make more cremes. What I created may not have been show quality and never sold them as cremes but they were close enough since a creme is just a red with silvering. My argents were very heavily silvered. Dunno if it's just this area or what.
