Okay, so I know its a long ways off still, but the 2014 ARBA convention is in Texas! That's close enough for me to go! Oooh, I'm so excited, I have to start planning now! (Or else all my monies will be spent on my rabbits and my horse, as these things go!) My friend and I will probably end up teaming up and splitting the drive and a hotel room, since she's about as rabbit crazy as I am.

I don't plan to show, but I can't wait to go see all the pretty bunnies...

That just means I'll have to bring some kits to sell then to open some cage space for the new buns, anyone need some FA's? :mrgreen:

Anybody else planning on being there? Maybe we can all have an RT get together at some point? Sounds like fun!

We'll be there! I lucked out, we moved to Tx this Sept and they brought the convention to within 25 miles of my Mom's house! I've got no reason not to go. And we'll be showing.

I am hoping to come, if finances will allow at the time. I have a new "rabbit friend" who raises Satins (she has given me a bunch!) and we are planning on sharing expenses with each other and as many more as can fit in her truck. She also has a horse trailer and will often haul other people's rabbits to the show, so space for rabbits is not an issue.

I would definitely love to meet up with any RT folk who will be there! Maybe we could all go to dinner or something?

Have fun. If things come together and I still have rabbits by then, I will probably send a Rex and an Angora. The trip is way to far for me to physically go there.

I will definitely be attending, and showing. It will be my first convention.

Just from what a couple of you have said, let me make sure you aren't frustrated.

This is a coop show only. You cannot bring a carrier in, nor any rabbits just for sale. If the rabbit is in the building, it must be entered in the show. Selling of any rabbits not entered in the show on the premises is grounds for dismissal and forfeits any winnings.

Rabbits can be for sale, if they are entered in the show and are cooped. You can purchase rabbits at the show, but they will not be released until the show ends.

Many people purchase rabbits from afar to pick up at the show. This is allowed, as long as those rabbits are not placed in the building. I would be very careful allowing money to change hands tho, and it's probably safer to pick rabbits up off site. My dealings have all been complete prior to the show so all I had to do was transfer said rabbit from their carrier (outdoors) to mine.

I am really looking forward to this convention. I have babies in the nest now I hope will be winners, and more breedings planned for early spring.

We RT'ers really need to get together!

Its possible I make the trip as its only ~4 hours or so away but this far out its impossible to say I'll be free.
