I have a french Angora doe who had babies two weeks ago. She is acting very depressed this is not her first litter and she had only 2 this time around. Past two days she has ripped out chunks of her hair not putting it in her nest. Is this due to the heat? She isnt fur biteing and she is is in awsome condition. Why is she doing this? Any Angora owners go thru the same thing?

I've not bred any Angoras of mine so I have no idea...but is she due to be groomed or plucked? My doe was pulling chunks of wool at random until I got her plucked and now she's fine...though getting longer by the day. I just saw my overly-wooly buck, Slippers, pulling out a chunk of fur and I'm overdue to pluck him, so...if she has a full wool coat, maybe she wants it off?
