for the first time in three days, the temps have not only gotten below 85-- it is below 80!!! A nice, breezy, cool 77 dF. Put the rabbits back outside in their cages-- :)

88F.. I'll take it. My surprise litter may just survive.

its 100 here. feels almost cool since it has been 106/107 a lot over the passed 3 weeks.

Our heat index was sitting at 106 today. I have really grown to hate living in this heat.

80 something today with constant rain. We went to the fair anyway. Being wet was better than being in temps well over 100. I forgot to put my contacts in though and it was so humid that aside from rain drops on my glasses I had to deal with them fogging up when I sat or stood anywhere without a breeze. I had to take them off to use the restroom and I'm legally blind without corrective lenses. At least though the animals did not suffer too badly since the fair started wednesday and the temps broke thursday. Both horse shows may be cancelled though because we only have an outdoor ring and it was 2" of standing water today. Everything but the horses gets an indoor show building.

snow....she said the S word!

We had one day of relative nice, and then it shot back up to 90s with high humidity..although not as bad as earlier in the week. Supposed to be back to seasonal for the first part of the new week. phew. Only thing that saved me the other day outside was the 15mph breeze. constant. That was nice, in a sort of "it's a yellow flame instead of red" kind of way.

We finally hit 75 for the first time all year yesterday, today is nice too, but tomorrow it is back to rain and 60's. Sigh, leave it to me to decide to try growing peppers and melons this year too.

We were sitting right at 100 today at noon, and are expected to do so every day thru the coming weekend. I have all my rabbits inside, as the cooling unit I use to maintain the temperature began icing over today and I didn't want to blow the compressor in the process. The rabbits act like they don't mind being indoors under the AC one bit, either.
