when baby bunnies die (10 days old) and you have NO clue as to why.

And you have an international student asking questions, having to deal with the language barrier and the most I can come up with is... I DON'T KNOW.

All I can say is sometimes it happens and you just can not figure out why. It was fine after church, and then five hours later it's dead. the kit I expected to be dead (found cold and shivery, head stuck in the wire) is THRIVING.

Go figure.

AND>>>>> it's the only buck in the litter.
my hopes are completely dashed...

Anyways, getting off the train of frustration and moving on....

I've got 6 first time does having litters and it's been one disaster after another. I managed to get 3 live kits from one doe which just weaned and there are 2 from another that will hopefully live. The only one to have her litter in the nest box so far laid them all out next to each other dead.

So sorry to hear that. It never gets any easier, does it?

*fingers crossed for the kits*

I agree, it is very sad, and frustrating. Hope all the others continue to do well.
