Aborted kit...

Ever have a doe abort a single kit, but not the rest? Big Mama dropped a single kit on the wire a week early, but the rest of her litter is still kicking... :? Today is day 31 so we shall see....

I have not, but have heard this from others. Sadly, when it goes wrong for me it all goes wrong. She must have a big load inside

I had a first time doe abort 3 kits and a ton of blood and 2 days later give birth to 10 healthy kits!

I did some research and apparently they can abort kits from one horn but still deliver from the other. :shock:

I'm so glad it worked out. When my doe aborted I was sooo upset, and with all the blood I was worried I would loose her too, I cried every time someone asked if she had kindled yet. When I went to remove the nest box and when I saw the pile of fur and all the kits I started crying again, but for joy!
