A very odd colour

A castor buck and a chinchilla doe (rex) produced a red, a buff, a blue otter, a lavender otter, a black otter, and two of this unknown colour.

Any ideas what its called? Other than pretty that is.

Hmm.. I've no idea, looks pretty. Does dilutes or other extensions show through in the Californian pointed pattern? Total guess, I haven't read up on rabbits genetics in too long.

Can't be a californian or pointed white, as those colors always have red eyes.

Looks to be either a chocolate frosty or a chocolate point marten.

I had frosties once, they were whiter, no points, just light ticking and dark eyes. A cross between chinchilla and red makes frosty--or at least rabbits that CARRY chinchilla and red, which yours must... But he looks kinda like a dilute sable?

I just sold her as I have no room to keep any of that litter other than the one red doe. She was soooo pretty though, such a warm and cozy colour.

Looks like my sallanders. This one may blue. It's lighter than mine but mine are also intensified satins. Sallander is a self chin plus non extension (ee).
