I have seen some of you interested in hay feeders so I took some pictures while building a 5 minute hay feeder.
I got a piece of scrap wire which happen to be 1"x1" but you can use 1/2x1/2 or 1/2x1 etc. I did not want my feeder big so I chose to make it 7" tall and 6" wide.
1. I cut my scrap wire 7"x12" as you can see in the first picture.
2. I used a board to lay on the wire, holding it down tight I bent the sides of this wire up 3".
3. I then used a straight edge to mark the side of the wire at a angle starting 1" from the top and cut.
4. I then J clipped the bottom of this wire to my rabbit cage in 3 places(marked the clips blue so you could see).
5. I then J clipped the top corner to the cage on each side.
6. Filled with hay.
This took no more than 5 minutes to build. If you want yours wider, narrower, taller or shorter just adjust the measurements.
