I looked online for over an hour trying to figure what in the world these weeds are. I got them near a once-cultivated field. I had to dig them up and take them home if I wanted them... so the pictures' backgrounds are my wood floor.

Plant #1:
big, broad, fuzzy leaves with a single stripe down the center of leaf. top of leaf green with no visible veins, bottom of leaf light green (almost gray-green) with highly visible veins. over a foot tall

Plant #2:
narrow, slightly fuzzy, short, gray-green leaves. tiny, yellow bundles of flowers- some had seeds like dandelion fluff. a foot tall and erect stem.

a bundle of the plants (each plant is 1 or 2 stems)

thanks!!

The first one looks to me like common mullein (Verbascum thapsus). It is a biennial. The first year it produces a rosette of fuzzy leaves. The second year it puts up a thick flower stalk with yellow flowers. The leaves, stems etc. are used medicinally and it is not considered toxic. The seeds, however, are toxic. I doubt very much that rabbits will eat it because of the texture. I have certainly never heard of it being fed to them. But it is a very interesting plant and you may wish to do more research.

I don't recognize the second plant at all.

Thanks, I think you are right about the mullein. I don't think I'll keep it then, even if it can be used medicinally... I read that their seeds in the second year can be very invasive, and I have lots of plants that like sunny spots right now.

The first is definitely mullein. It makes a good but foul-tasting sleeping tonic. For some reason I can't see the second plant's pics.

I don't think it's groundsel... It's leaves aren't lobbed at all, and the flowers are tiny. the flowers are in clusters of 5 that is about 1/4 of an inch wide. It's also a grey-green. Thanks anyway!

I have Something that looks like the top plant growing by the woods in the goat pen. They don't even touch it. One of the plants is as tall as me!

Well, the first plant is definitely mullein. The second plant is only a little fuzzy... but the flowers are different from chicory, and it is a tiny plant. Maybe plant #2 is some rare plant...?
