    Guinea Pig Pups!

Thanks! Haha, they ARE called pups as youngsters! :p I know some people who sell culls as dog/reptile food and they work well. Never tasted one myself. I find they sell easily to the pet/breeder market and have not had a need to send for food yet. Interested to know though! And ya, its...

    Guinea Pig Pups!

Welcomed by a litter of four from one of my favorite sows yesterday! Was very pleased, they are all thriving and doing well. I didn't think she was this far along, but she surprised me! I like all the babies too! They are about a few hours old in the pictures. Here they are, one boar...

    Wet Nose

So the past two days I have noticed that one of my younger rabbits, weaned not to long ago, has had a wet nose. I've looked through all my rabbits and no one else has anything wrong with them at all. I have not heard sneezing in months or anything along those lines. I have also not bought...

    Need color help

I agree with moonkitten - they look like torts to me. First one is a black tort. The kits look like a blue tort or lilac tort, although not quite sure on the last one.

ducks or chickens in rabbit colony pen

Ive had bad outcomes of having chickens with rabbits. Like maggie said they can spread disease into the rabbit. Because they could get ontop if my cages my rabbits got coccidia because the chickens would eat the poop, and then poop ontop of the rabbits cages. They are also very dusty and i...

    Stressy rabbits

All I can recommended is to try to get them used to changes before big things like this happen. I dont usually wear the same stuff into the rabbitry. Im starting to more now because its winter though. I also have a radio constantly going in the rabbitry. I find it makes things go a little...

    Two feet of snow dumped

Lovely. I come home from vegas to this :P The snow has drifted so bad on the way to the barn that its above my head. This is the third snow day in a row for us here too.

    Materials used in drop trays......

My rabbits are in the barn. Last year it did freeze in there, althought his year i am planning to keep it JUST above freezing if possible. I have running water, although i cannot use the hose in the winter. I just scrap pans out if they are frozen.

    Materials used in drop trays......

Ive hear the wood pellets work good. I personally use nothing in the trays. Ive heard to do this from more than one other breeder. Works good and is easier and less time consuming.

Looking For American Sables In Ontario & Harlequins For Sale

She told me she was staying in them too =_= :(
  18. Jesse L

    what do you call these

Yep - they are the Japanese variety of a harlequin. They look like black japanese harlequins, from the picture. Might be blue?

    Lionhead

Yep - its a breed and can be shown although it is not recognized with the ARBA yet. I don't think you could recreate the look, if you can, i have no idea how? The think with the lionheads is the double mane, or single mane. The sell like hotcakes as pets!

    Silver Fox

You dont have to brush woolies :) They have the look of a wooled breed but because of all the guard hairs they have they do not require frequent brushing at all! Only when in a harsh moult. Congrats on the silver foxes :)
