Pens my Husband made for our bunnies.

The cages are about 5' x 2.5' - 3'. The American Chinchillas are 3 sisters together for now, hopefully they will have enough space to tolerate each other. The Black & White (i have no clue what she is, I got her 6 years ago from a random suburb accidental litter from 2 bunnies from a pet store)...

Pens my Husband made for our bunnies.

We have a barn so It is a bit easier for us to create theses pens. Fun note, my Black & White rabbit we've had for over 6 years thinks she's a cat. The cats always sleep with her and we cannot put her with other rabbits, she seems to stress them out, as over the years we've had 3 total...

QC & Ontario Show Questions / help!

Hello, I'm interested in showing but am curious how it works if there are only a couple of shows in your area per year? I just got 3 American Chinchilla Kits 8 weeks old and there's one ARBA show this weekend in Ormstown. I think there may be one more show near me this summer but that's it...

American Chinchilla PICS!!! Do they meet the breed standard?

Thank you!! I think they are beautiful. There's a ARBA show this weekend that I could still enter, but I'm not sure.

American Chinchilla PICS!!! Do they meet the breed standard?

Ah ok, I will wait and see then. :D They are from a lady who used to be a registered breeder for them a few years ago, so even though they came without papers I am optimistic they should be fairly nice. :D Does anyone know at what age they are senior weight? I find it very difficult to find...

American Chinchilla PICS!!! Do they meet the breed standard?

So I picked up these three last Saturday. They are 8 weeks and are all does but we will see since they are still young. I have some pictures of them so I'd love to see what any breeders think of them. Are they to standard? I've checked the ARBA site but it's not obvious to me as it might be to...

    Colonies - Outside access?

Hahaha I take it you don't like chickens  They have a lot of space and lots of grass. The chickens have never affected the grass?...inside their coop is another story, lol. My husband is very concerned about the predators and them escaping. We have lots, coyotes, eagles, hawks, ravens...

American Chinchilla - What I need to look for?

Let's say I start showing these guys and they do well, and I breed them. How can I get them pedigrees without the parents having any? Is it possible? TIA

    Colonies - Outside access?

Thank you both! Is there a certain age or size I should wait until/ for before letting them out? Can they be with my Chickens? Again! Thank you all so much!

    Colonies - Outside access?

Hello, I am interested in letting my rabbits live in a colony where they would have access to a fenced paddock? My question is if they will instinctively come 'home' like our chickens do at the end of the day? I currently have Giant Flemish (likely mixes, but they are only apron. 5months) and...

American Chinchilla - What I need to look for?

I like the idea of helping with the livestock conservation, since the breed is classified as critical. The lady I am getting them off of was a registered breeder, but has slowed down recently and I do not think these guys are registered or papered. I do believe they are pure, as they are kits...

Real Flemish Giants??? Please give your opinion

I have but I guess my eye isn't trained enough to really spot the differences? The black one is much heartier than the fawn. He must be close to 12 lbs already. I don't have a scale so it's hard to say. The fawn is definitely smaller.

Real Flemish Giants??? Please give your opinion

Hello, I recently acquired these two "Flemish Giants" they are apparently a week or so apart in age and should be around the 5 - 6 month mark. I had already posted in another discussion board about the colours and varieties as the buck (blackish one) appeared to be a dark steel at the place...
