Difficult kindle

    I'm still learning genetics. Maybe?

-- Thu Apr 30, 2015 6:40 pm --

Sadly, the lone survivor did not make it :weep: I came home from work and found him gone today. My second doe (NZ/mini rex mix) did kindle yesterday sired by the same buck, no over sized kits but still...

    Rough week, but..

Here's to better days next week!! I had rabbits attacked the first week I moved them to my fiance house. He lives inside city limits so shooting them was not an option. We did leave a nice mix of leftovers and laxatives for their next visit

    Since August last year

I got to looking at my profile, July and the beginning of Aug was my last activity. Since then I meet my soul mate!! :P We were to meet and butcher my massive litters from the spring, however I got tired of waiting. I watched a couple of youtube videos and ended up butchering 23 of 27 all in...

    Difficult kindle

She is two years old, larger only by age, and the buck was a young 8-10 month old Californian. When I purchased him in December I did see his grandfather and he was a very sizable fella! Mom and Dad were impressive as well. This was their second litter. The first litter were normal, but only...

    Difficult kindle

Thank you Dood, that is how was leaning! I was so thankful to see that survivor had a full belly this am.

-- Fri Apr 17, 2015 10:50 am --

How does the extra large kits happen? She wasn't overdue. Too high of protein in her diet?

    Dead beat garden :(

I am next door to you in Indiana, and it has been a very cool summer here also. I started paperwork in feb/mar to get pre-approved this year for home loan. So I never started any seeds with hopes and dreams of moving. Sadly it was determined that I would not be able to get the approval I was...

    4 litters = 27 kits updated

Betty's litter is 8wks old yesterday, two out of the six are weighing in at 3 1/2 lbs, so a couple more weeks they should be right at time. Gwens litter is doing well, and the friendliest of all them. She did have one that is solid black with gray belly, it never had the chestnut look to it...

Turkeys in my chick 6 pack

This six pack was probably 5-7 days old when I purchased them. I began to question the turkeys within a couple of days. Their "chirp" was much different than any chick I had before. Then I noticed comb looked much different, and their quick growth. It's been a cool experience, and now I can add...

Did a random weigh in this weekend

I am using manna pro also, it does not say 'Gro formula' on it so it must be the 16%. Hay has been limited for the last month due waiting on that first cut to happen for the year. Currently 26 kits and 5 adults are going through 50lbs in a week, which is manageable. This coming week I plan to...

Did a random weigh in this weekend

I have a total of 26 kits currently. 6 of them were 9wks old on Saturday. Two out of that litter measured 3.5 & 3.75 lbs. Consistent with this mothers genetics. The other 20 kits were 7wk 3days on Saturday by three different mothers. One from each litter measured out to 3.25 / 3.75lbs. The...

Turkeys in my chick 6 pack

I was hoping for 2/buffs 2/black australorp 2/easter egger. My easter eggers turned out to be buffs, and my buffs are turkeys! :o I have...
