    ready to pop!

Daisy is one of my NZW's. She's at about 28/29 days post breeding. It looks like she's about ready to pop! Here's hoping for a big litter!

    rabbit roulade

http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/5034/ro ... d+rosemary I mostly followed this recipe. I cut it in half because I only had one rabbit. I also defrosted the wrong rabbit. I had a whole deboned one and the one I defrosted was deboned, but in pieces. A little bit of mallet work thinned out the...

    Florida Whites

I processed my first batch of FWs today (all the males). They were right at 4 months. First off, they have a smaller head which makes whacking it a little trickier. I only made a glancing blow on the first one and now I know what a screaming rabbit sounds like  We saved their pelts and...

    Is it just me..

One thing I've noticed is it seems like my rabbits eat more pellets if I also feed them fresh food. I'm not really trying to ween them off the pellets, I just like supplementing with fresh stuff. When ever I do, it seems they empty their feeders faster. Has anyone else noticed this?

    Spanish moss question

Has anyone ever tried to use fresh, or dried Spanish moss as nesting material? My biggest concern would be whether or not it was poisonous to the adults and babies. There's a ton of it around where I live and it seems like it would be a great material to use.

    Carbon to nitrogen question

I've read in a few spots that you can use rabbit poop right away in a garden, but it seems like there's still a ton of fiber in it. It's hard for me to imagine that there is enough nitrogen in the poop to off set the amount of carbon in it. Does anyone know more about this? I'm Mike, BTW...
