So, what is the proper treatment to cure rabbits of vent disease?

Are you saying to CLEAN the rabbits' undersides before and after breeding them? Treatable is how they are saying, as in the human terminology as well, not curable, correct? Or once you treat the rabbit, it goes away and never comes back?

So once a rabbit has it, there is no cure, correct? What has everyone done in the past when they've noticed their rabits have STDs? Can they be fed to dogs, or has anyone tried....eating them? I guess the only real way to tell beforehand is to quaruntine all new rabbits, right?

I can't find any useful information searching through here or on google. At the risk of sounding ridiculous, how does one know if a rabbit has an STD? What rabbit STDs are there? And quite possibly the stupidest but most pressing question, are they transferable to humans (in a non-sexual way)?

I had a thought brought on by another thread on pedigrees and am not sure where this question should go but thought this was the best place to ask. If you had a White New Zealand and got a Red Rex, could you breed them together to get a red kit, breed that back to the NZW until you had reddish...

So when buying rabbits, how do you know if the person didn't just join the ARBA go out and buy cheap or mix purebreds together and lie about their lineage, and then fake a pedigree off of their own herd of 3+ generations (or just 1 generation)? And how do people show unpedigreed/unregistered...

Why would someone record a pedigree and not record all needed information? If I sell a rabbit to Joe Buyer, can't he just rip it up and make a new one, or fill in missing branches (if one of the parents isn't pedigreed)? This whole pedigree business seems very elusive, I've been debating back...
