    Netherland Dwarf - Neutering Question

Ok, just FYI, neuter is somewhat gender neutral but typically implies male, but spay is only for females.

    Netherland Dwarf - Neutering Question

I agree, however... the OP never ACTUALLY said that these are 2 male rabbits. They said neuter several times, but they also threw spay in there on the very last line. So, who knows what the actual genders are if they are using spay and neuter interchangeably.

    Minimally seasoned rabbit recipe

I do not have an instant pot, but my boyfriend is a good cook and I'm pretty decent with foods I know so I'm sure we'll figure it out. Just didn't want to completely hide the flavor of the meat by accident.

    Minimally seasoned rabbit recipe

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll try that for sure! We do both like liver, I seriously doubt it's included but I may be surprised with a "giblet bag" when I get the bun thawed and out of the packaging. I doubt I have the kidneys, liver maybe, but probably not kidneys. I've seen where some...

    Minimally seasoned rabbit recipe

So, I'm seriously thinking about getting meat rabbits, but, the problem is that neither I or my BF have ever eaten rabbit. So, we have a store bought commercial rabbit in the freezer to try. I don't want to cover it in sauce and mask the flavor, I want to know what the rabbit tastes like...

    Regenerative gardening: swales and berms?

I just went in and found it. It's an actual scan of the book in PDF version. Free download.

    Breeding woes...

I'm not sure where all of the rest of this ramble came from, but things like Downs Syndrome are directly related to the age of the mother and have nothing to do with the age of the father. I don't see anywhere that you disproved me. Or where you have even shared your anecdotal evidence for...

    Breeding woes...

Actually, no. Women are born with all of their eggs, in fact, my mother actually produced the eggs that would spawn any children I had (if I got insane enough to do that) and I would produce the eggs that my (theoretical) daughter would have. Those eggs are getting older and older as time goes...

I have a lot of questions

That would be my opinion as well, but Heartbased Homestead was saying that it is actually harmful to the kits.

    Double Digging for Garden Beds

I'm not sure if they are in your area, but check and see if Chip Drop would be available for you. It's basically a brokering website where homeowners say " I want mulch" and tree companies can look on there for places to dump loads of mulch. It costs the tree company (last I looked) $20 to get...

Rabbit newb, here to lurk and learn.

Welcome! I'm basically doing the same thing as you, lurking and learning. I'm also hoping to get rabbits in the next handful of years. I'm thinking about standard Rex for meat and pelts.

    Raise Meat Rabbits

It sounds to me like you might have some sort of a bug in the other building you take them to. Have you disinfected that building?

    Double Digging for Garden Beds

Your situation reminds me of a guy I was following online that moved to the Philippines and was dealing with kind of the opposite problem you are. You have hydrophobic soil, he had sand that would just take all of the water and dump it in the ocean... He had chickens and bedded them on rice...

    Not new, but returning!

Nipples are connected through tubing to a large central vat of water. Bottles are individual to the cage. With nipples you can just re-fill 1 container and water 50+ rabbits rather than each cage one at a time.

True, but my backup rabbit killer is out of town. lol

    Food Availability

My cats are free fed but they maintain weight fairly well that way. The dog I had would balloon up if you tried that. He had to be fed daily or he would go through a week's worth of food in a day and then starve.

    More Twisted Humor

Apparently Ivory soap is "It floats!". I had to google it though.
