There is a Very good and reliable person located in St. Cloud Florida... He travels and transports ( for a reasonable fee) to many shows. ( even as far north as NY :) ) He is knowledgeable on what a Good rabbit should be... and absolutely will Not transport any animal with health issues...

I would suggest talking to the guide dog school... or trainer, when he gets back. They have a vested interest in knowing about possible issues.

If there is any way to locate a dedicated breeder of English Angoras... it will greatly benefit You in the long run. EAs are a lot of work... and if coat care is not done correctly... can become a horrible mess. Not certain what part of the country You are in... there are quite a few very good...

It is easy to fall into the oooo pretty... must have some of Each color variety and breed. Buying the Best stock one can locate and afford.. Will pay off in the long run. The $5 auction rabbit... most likely will Not go far on the show table. Yes.... "sometimes" one finds a winner... but...

Certificate of Development ... That permits One person... or a specific Group of people to work towards getting a Variety or New breed recognized by ARBA. It is a long convoluted process... and Many try but Few succeed . :P

Pygmy and Nigerian goats are very different types. A pygmy goat would be similar to a Beef cow breed... while the Nigerian is a Dairy type goat. Some of the Nigerian are Fantastic milkers as well ! Good fences are a Must with any animal... but goats are Very inquisitive.. and seem to Like...

If the color is in the whisker bed... it would count. Is there also any color on the back ?? Brokens are supposed to have at least 10% color... Looks to be close... Might try showing it...Sometimes it will be a judge's call....

I would suggest... Viability..... the number that Lived ... vs... the number born. And a possible scoring of Vitality... How many flourished... as opposed to just grew....( that would really be a subjective one...) Sounds interesting... i look forward to following Your experiment.
