    Which one

You could call the little doe Iris and stick with the flower theme...Lily and Iris..and maybe Remi or Lark for bucks...anyway, they are cute ☺️

    Rats

I just read another post on here about someone having great success trapping rats using fish baked in butter and thought I would let you know.

    Rats

Hmm...not sure, never tried it,but the obvious thing we seem to have forgotten here is rabbit pellets...they also love any kind of pet food, dog, cat, rabbit, chicken feed...all attract rats..you could also add nesting materials to this trap to attract them...cotton or fluff and string or dental...

    Rats

Bacon...they love bacon...any meat will usually work..and yes if you get some peanut butter or any nut butter really they like as well.

I may be a bit paranoid but.....

Yeah I guess I can just leave him in one he is in now...maybe I will cut him a hole so he can have both sides. Then just build another for his father instead of putting him on other side. His mother and sisters were on that side until last week, but I would hate to risk it and be sorry later.

I may be a bit paranoid but.....

I have bun from last litter that dry sneezes..I've noticed this for awhile and been keeping an eye on him and only time it seems to happen is as soon as I put his food in bowl...he will sneeze a few times and that's it...no runny eyes or wet nose or noisy breathing. But, his mother and siblings...

    Keep or eat

Yes I also find that bucks are much more mellow than my does and mine are not small...I think he is probably just adjusting to new place and you must also consider possibility of him not being socialized or treated well at other owners...Give him time and be patient..visit with him often and let...

    Keep or eat

I personally wouldn't want to possibly pass on aggressive traits to offspring...especially if I'm breeding to sell as pets or something. So this is a tough call...you said that you thought he may have gotten in a fight with another rabbit is this buck housed separately? Is he a new rabbit to...

    Opal???

Not quite sure of this doe's color...what do you all think...she is much lighter than her Opal momma. Almost lilac colored but not really lilac as she has the golden coloring showing through..What do y'all think? Extra pics are just because she's so stinking cute and sweet 😅

    Pet Pricing vs Purebred Pricing

Pet stores charge more because firstly, they can...they have already paid the breeder to get animal but that's ok because every little kid and half the adults that walk in there to buy dog food, look at the fish or for whatever are seeing these cute little bunnies in a pen so when the little kid...

    Nasty bunny butts

I second the raspberry clipping and plantain...I would be willing to bet you have an abundance of it in your yard also....and lots of timothy...sometimes they will get soft to runny stool if happened to be weaned a little to early or stressed a little since as you say momma wasn't so great this...

When to harvest rex rabbits for meat, and when is best for fur?

About 5 lbs...litter size and type and amount of feed and of course genetics affect the time it takes them to get to this size..A bigger litter will grow out slower than a smaller one...normally my rabbits have a litter of 6 or 7 and I usually wait until 10 weeks but a litter of say 4 could...

    Meat Rabbit Breeds

It really boils down to age you are looking to slaughter...fryers or roasters...if it's strictly meat or meat, fur, pet, any and all etc...Rex as others have said will run around 8 and 10 lbs fully grown about same as size a Californian, but mature slightly slower than NZ..they do have awesome...

What color am I...Lynx, fawn, something else??

Rabbit math is turning out to be worse than chicken math 😅🤣

What color am I...Lynx, fawn, something else??

Thank you...only thing it's a buck...I want to keep him but don't need another buck 😅...guess it's decision time since this little guys father is coming up on 5 years old might be time for him to retire.

Question about purebred and crossbred rabbits

Normally won't get the Rex fur characteristic until the 2nd breeding.. maybe this is what they were referring to...so you have to breed the Rex mix back to a Rex then it's offspring will have the fur you're looking for

    WTB: Standard Rex buck(s)

I wish I was closer to you...I have a few blue otter young bucks...I'm not sure of anyone out your way. Hope you found what you were looking for once shows started...I love Rex rabbits...they are so mellow and sweet...well, actually all buns are great 😅

What color am I...Lynx, fawn, something else??

This could very well be possible they were breeding for tri colors where I got her...if my little understanding of the E gene is correct she would have been trying or hoping for Ee genetics.
