I usually pickle all my hides in water citric acid and salt, then just dry and work the hide...if I tan after, I use brains and then smoke them, but most time I don't need them to be waterproofed so just stop after working hide.
She was out of a tri color breeding program...her dam was blue/fawn tri..ideally being an opal she should really only be bred to opal, but I have no opal bucks, unfortunately...so I am breeding just to see what she may have hidden and hoping for another non extension, but need a doe, last one...
Ok trying to narrow down some color genetics here, so any input would be helpful...my opal doe x with my blue otter buck produced this fawn in the previous posts along with an opal and a self blue and a blue otter...I know she carries harlequin in her pedigree so wanted to see what we got out of...
Looks too light to be a blue to me but all screens are different on coloring...possibly lilac or even opal...here's a pic of my blue otter Rex buck they tend to be darker almost like denim..he does have a bit of sun bleaching that looks brown on his side...the little buns farthest on left and...
My bucks are larger than my doe but only by about 1.5 or 2 lbs and I've had zero issues...that being said they are both same breed...I'm not sure I would want to try to breed a giant buck to mini doe as yes I agree they will be certain size within the breed but if mixing breeds of considerably...
I prefer mine over medium...completely cooked white and runny yolk and since I really don't want crispy edged egg whites I cook on a lower heat using butter with a few drops of oil to prevent butter from browning ..but mostly do omelette with cheese or scrambled as it so quick and easy...Owning...
Rexes only have certain recognized colors also but there are so many variations that come from this that are unrecognized colors...and frosted would be ermine genetically they are same in Rex rabbit called ermine not frosted. But his ticking is heavy and very unique for ermine rex.. they are...
Wow...he is cool! Like extremely diluted fawn coloring..serious lack of pigment but yet not quite albino. Have you created a new Rex color? As if their wonderful rainbow wasn't already enough to contend with 😅 I think he is beautiful but as far as what he would be called no idea.
The harlequin gene is recessive to full extension Ee gene but is dominant to the non extension ee gene. So your guy could be carrying ej or ee...from my understanding of this gene, but I'm definitely no expert so hopefully someone else will chime in. So what did you get from this guy...I'm...
She could still take...I have had this happen before and still have a litter of 7+ kits...some say it can wash semen away (and I'm going to try to make this as PG as possible) but if this mating allowed for complete copulation into the vagina then the urethra is below this opening...I'm sure you...
