    Plant Identification

We emigrated to France 18 months ago so unfortunately stuff gets lost in translation. Like when I asked them about the herb. Answer; Persil. That's when we both go oh no ANOTHER word we don't know! Oh it's parsley! Foraging is pretty much a given in the French countryside. So I'm a Grade 1...

    Californian X French Lop

I've tried to figure this out myself but I just can't get my head around it, sorry. If someone could give me an idea I'd really appreciate it. If I crossed a pure Californian with a coloured or broken blue eyed French lop what could I expect to end up with? Hope someone can help. Thanks

    Plant Identification

I'm going to honest, when it comes to identifying plants we're not the sharpest pencils in the box. I bought some herbs last week, lost the label and had to ask my neighbour what I'd planted! I get the feeling we're missing out on a lot of free foraged rabbit feed but I'm always too cautious to...

Using Tractors the good and the bad

I'm afraid so but they get a happy life with as much natural behaviours as we can reasonably accommodate.

    Show me your hutches!

Tractors all the way, you'll never look back. Except when your dragging them about in the freezing rain!

    New to rabbits

I don't think you'll find many people that didn't finish a habitat project and say "That's perfect! No mistakes were made!" Give it your best shot, consider the weather most of all. Not just for the rabbits but for you trudging out there every day. There are better places to put our rabbits...

Using Tractors the good and the bad

This is just our experience of keeping our rabbits in tractors but it might be useful if you're considering it for your own set up. The Good Plenty of exercise space which we think has helped a lot with behaviour. If your tractors are in an area that you spend time in you can keep an eye on...

    Nest box eye advice

On today's cuddle routine we've noticed one of our kits (17 days old) has slightly protruding ridges above both eyes and his eye rims look very pink. Does the camomile tea remedy work or do we need to do something more off the shelf medication wise? We've checked him again this afternoon and...

First kindling anyone have any tips?

Is a wide head good or bad? Here they are at 16 days (yesterday).

    Wild rabbits visiting our tractors.

We noticed that out fruit trees were being de-barked during the night so I set up a lookout spot to see what was visiting. Sure enough a wild rabbit has been visiting the garden and coming right up to the rabbit tractors. This now explains the markings on our Bucks head as I think they've been...

    Four litters due this weekend!

I love that there's a Mr eco2pia, that's a Star Wars character right there! I'm not poking fun, I'm English my sense of humour is odd at best. Sometimes I'll start laughing for no apparent reason and Mrs Albert will say "Oh you've amused yourself in your own head again". ☺️

I WANT TO START A COLONIE!

Oh good, I was trying to imagine a suspended cage that could accommodate a full on 12 rabbit colony

I WANT TO START A COLONIE!

Honest question; So your plan is a HUGE suspended cage? Or did I get that wrong?

    Hi, new member from Florida.

Welcome, is it just manure you're after or is there more? I'm guessing the bigger the rabbit the better manure production?

    Best way to transport

We've got a very nice wooden single pony cart, a hand plough with harness and a hand cranked machine that separates wheat from chaff to go with them. When you buy an old place here you get a barn/house full of "antiques" with it.
