I'm jumping in here. My doe is rolling and has been for 2 months. I used drops of 1% injectable ivermectin on her neck once and she seemed to get better. I did that again this morning. I'm going to use SafeGuard today but wondering how much to give her. She is 7.8 lbs and is almost 3 years...
My doe is rolling badly now, no wry neck and no other issues but she can't hop now without falling over. I may put her down tomorrow or let the vet if they know anything give her some antibiotic.
Today Lulu is having alot of trouble not rolling. I've let her out to get exercise and she goes to her spot and lays. There she can eat some leaves and a little grass. Her paralysis seems to be worse today though. She is so sweet and doesn't seem to be in pain at all. She eats, drinks a...
those are some happy bunnies. I do like letting mine out to graze but it makes me very nervous. One stays close, one ventures but always comes back, one is just learning but is so happy when out. My doe hates her pellets, she wants to graze.
that's interesting since I was going to put corrid in her water today. She is bony feeling and not eating alot. She is 7.8 lbs but has had the wobbles for quite a while and rests alot. OK I will lay off the oak.
my doe wants out but I will make her stay in until we get this all cleaned up so I can control the amount they will get. Plus she might hide underneath the limbs. It sounds as if it's probably not a great idea to feed them the leaves. If they get a nut here and there it's up to them.
Oh darn I could have sold you one but it's too late. She went home with the neighbor boy who helped me *** the others and they were all females.....or so we think. Sold one to a guy in Pekin who keeps it for a pet for his kid. I can check with a guy in Mackinaw IL who I have heard raises if...
The children go bonkers over bunnies. Like I always say "everybody loves a bunny." If you view old threads you will probably find all the answers you are looking for.
Proud to be a member here. So sorry for your losses and I can imagine how awful it was. We do what we have to do in the moment and then our bodies react to the intense stress and fear. You will be OK. What if you found some mut meat rabbits and started over? I hope you find the answer you...
I let the adults out to graze quite a bit. I live in the woods. Right now I am a little worried about bad mushrooms but I watch them and they haven't seemed interested in them at all. My neighbor brings me her salad scraps all the time. Rabbits get the greens, chickens the rest.
I'll try the American Dream next year. If all else fails this year I can give them some stalks. Hmmm I'm going to go cut one now and see if they like it.
