I just separated my tamuk kits yesterday but now realized it was only 4 weeks so should they be ok?

I bought a trio of four week old Tamuks about three months ago and they are huge and thriving. As long as they are eating and drinking well don't worry about them. Mom's probably relieved.

Sounds good and thanks for that info. I did put them back in with mom just today so I guess we will wait a week and take them back out. They do seem to be eating and look ok after 2 days away

Leaving them in for 6-8 weeks is more ideal but I've had to split them at 5 weeks and they've been fine

I've found that I see much better growth rates if I leave the bunnies for 8 weeks or even more. (Also, if the dam is still feeding the bunnies, you're putting less money into pellets!) My does are all great milkers and will keep feeding the bunnies as for long as they're still with them. Sometimes I'll leave them all together till harvest, although that does delay re-breeding the doe a bit.
