Well, being as we are virtual sisters, you'd think I would be the first to know. But no... No news. <sob!>

I hope they all make it safely! I would be just hopping in anticipation if it were me. Someday I'd like to be part of a rabbit railroad- how cool would that be?

Sorry Sistah! (and the rest of you!) I have been SO wrapped up in these beautiful rabbits, that I have not had time to get on here! LOL

Here are some pics...

These are the rabbits that went to Trinity Oaks

There used to be a Yahoo group called Rabbit Railroad. I'm told it is defunct. There IS one called Rabbit Relay ... same idea. It is kinda interesting to read the call-outs to transport... then be able to follow up on it.

The very BEST transport group is the American Drift ! That one is a Wonder to behold !! The planning and logistics are mind-boggeling ! AnnTan of this group ( Rabbit Talk) drove the whole drift last year ! That group worked on only one breed... the American... moving stock around the country to provide genetic diversity for breeders .

With some of the new laws being developed... things like group transports and the Drift may be a thing of the past. *sigh*....

__________ Thu Jan 05, 2012 11:52 am __________

BEAUTIFUL rabbits !! So glad You made it safely on Your part of the drive ! Look forward to hearing ALL about it !

Beautiful bunnies and nice pics of you and your Mom, Sistah! I guess you got the brunette gene- I'm a dirty blond (in more ways than one- bwahaha!)- I love your chocolate bunnies, they are a lovely color.

If the laws get out of hand, we'll just have to make an "underground railroad"! There is no law against exchanges on private property- I bet local feed or pet stores would allow bunny-shifting on their premises. Not as convenient as meeting on the highway, but it is a possible way around these ridiculous laws.

Actually, I started out life as a "tow-headed" youngster...so blonde it was white! Over the years, it has gradually darkened but in the summer I am always a "dirty" blonde too. Just being in the sun does it! I hate the way highlighting changes the texture of my hair, so I don't bother...

I'm not one to bother changing my appearance, either... although I did bleach it to white blond once, and it was super short! That was fun, I must admit. Mine was the color of Queenpup's and Hubs was a towhead like our boys. Firstpup is growing out of being a towhead though.

My boys were/are the same way! Both towheads and now gradually getting darker. I did the same thing to my hair in college! Bleached it white blonde and cut it super short like a pixie cut....

The eerie parallels continue. I suppose you started your herd in early '11, but had pet bunnies off and on prior to that?

Attention span- bah! Bunny ADD is highly under-rated. Variety is the spice of life, and all that.
