I found another way to get tricolor bunnies from my experience. At least in mini Rex. If you take a black otter and breed it with a tricolor you will get more otters and maybe some broken blacks. Keep a broken black and breed it with a tricolor and you should get more tricolor bunnies. Not all will be tricolor but at least a few should be! I’m going to breed my two tricolor does to a broken chocolate buck which I don’t know what his parent looked like so we will see what I get from them. One of my tricolor does is tan based. The other one is like nothing I’ve seen. Picture a tricolor with not a lot of white but it still has white. Then replace the tan in a normal tricolor with chocolate. That is what she looks like. I think she is a chocolate tricolor. Input on this would be great!
