Well it happened again. A whole litter of 8 this time. Alive the night before the storm, Dead the next morning. And they died at different times. Some were stiff, some were flexible and one was even warm. They were a month and a half old. Not a mark on them.
Rabbits are outside, under a...
I have noticed occasional kit loss after a thunderstorm. Kits are young- still in the nestbox, but eyes open and moving around. I am guessing it is likely the doe has injured them in fear, perhaps jumping on them. Never an exterior injury, just perfectly intact and dead.
What may disprove...
I thought I would mention this to see if anyone else has noticed it. Please forgive me if it is a well known and obvious fact as I have never had ear mites before.
I have had an outbreak and it seems that every rabbit to have mites also has rubbed the fur from their faces until they are bald...

I find they tend to use the corners as their bathroom, usually away from the food. You may have to pick out an odd bunny berry. Give it a try, it works very well for me!
Aha! And a false self would look black. Would they have any markings belying their true nature? Is there any way this breeding could produce true blacks?
I have more info for the color genotype. The mom of the GT was a REW and the dad has a pedigree with ONLY red in it. Every animal on his...
