    Dwarfs that are faders

For those who raise dwarf rabbits (e.g., Netherland Dwarfs), approximately what percent of offspring end up being faders? Just a rough estimate from your experience would be greatly appreciated. Please, don't include peanuts in the estimate. I'm thinking more of those that suddenly die...

Its day 33 for my Netherland Dwarf... should I be worried?

My Netherland Dwarf is on day 33 of pregnancy, and quite plump. She seems to be very pregnant. Not sure if its too late to hope for a healthy litter, but I would like to ensure my doe is safe. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks. But they are only 7 weeks old. I don't think they start to mature until after 13 weeks.

How common is swelling in genital area for kits?

Its time to sex the 7 week old kits, and I've been taught if you press ever-so-gently just under the genital area, the formation of the sex-based genitals will emerge (taco shape for female, protruding burrito shape for males). This usually works, but once in a while the area looks slightly...

    Color Help update

Help with this color. Dam is aa B _ cch_ Dd E_ and sire is A_ B_ C_ dd ee (possibly bb). Thanks. This is an update because I had posted when the kits had tan ticking (at about 3 weeks), but now (at almost 8 weeks), there is no tan ticking, and the fur color is pretty smooth in color. Belly is...

    Best Cost-effective preventative for e.cuniculi

I'm getting ready to do some preventatives for my herd. I have used Safeguard paste in the past. I am wondering if there is a cheaper, but just as effective, preventative for e.cuniculi. I don't have any with it where I need to treat, but as I am going to be introducing some new rabbits (in...

    Rabbit coat color calculator

Hi , The contact button didn't seem to work on your website. Anyhow, I love the color calculator. I was wondering, if it is not complete, if you would consider adding choices for a Dominant allele, where the other allele is an unknown.. e.g., B_ , C_, etc. I gather this would result in both...

    Only soft poop

One of our rabbits only has soft poops, like a bunch of grapes (Cecotropes). I know its normal to have a few, but this is ALL the poops, ALL the time. No diarrhea. Any thoughts on an initial rule out? The random, single poops are from a different rabbit. Thanks.
