If you think you or your almost 15 year old might want to show rabbits I would recommend starting with good show quality stock! But even if you don't want to show, show quality stock will be much better for meat since they are bred to the SOP.
@Chaos @TamiPac @NZ:Julia Did you guys try not giving them pellets? I fed my rabbits fodder and every single one loved it. If you take away their pellets then they should eat it. Some are just picky about trying new things!

I have a facebook page and I have listings on several free meat rabbit breeder websites. Some of them are Homestead Meat rabbits, Rabbitbreeders.US. I have gotten several people from the Homestead Meat rabbits website.
I could probably do it until I can replace all of the breeders. I have 4 satin breeders. The does aren't old enough to breed so I haven't had any satin babies. Only one of the does is not sick. What should I do because I still want to raise satins. The first sick buck is looking much better...
I sell very often. I am about to make hundreds of dollars off of my 4 litters but one of the moms is getting sick so she could infect the babies! The vaccine is not expensive. I just don't know if I want all my breeders to have to have vaccinations.
I feel like I've been pretty good about keeping them separate and safe. But then I had a doe start to get sick and she had no exposure to a sick rabbit!. It's just been depressing.
I am wanting to start tattooing the rabbits I plan to sell so I can keep track of who is buying which ones. I want to start selling them at 8 weeks instead of 6 weeks. I will still wean at 6 weeks. So is 6 weeks too early to tattoo? Also do any of you keep waiting lists? I am wanting to see how...
