    Mini rex not eating

Thank you so much. The bunny gatorade is just a mixture of one cup water, 1 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp baking soda, and 1/8 tsp salt. I've heard of it being used for dehydrated rabbits, and it was the first thing that came to mind to give her. It's also one of the few things she'll eagerly eat/drink...

    Mini rex not eating

Sorry for the late response. It turns out that the seal in her water bottle had been misplaced and so it all leaked out. When refilling bottles I typically look for the water line, and if it's near half then I refill. They're big 32oz bottles, so they never drink a whole bottle in only a day...

    Mini rex not eating

Hi all. I'm very concerned that my 3 year old mini rex is sick, and hoping for any advice. The last 4 days, she will not touch her pellets. She drinks and eats some of her hay, but not as much as usual. She is acting normal, but has lost weight and I'm very worried. I know that many rabbits will...

    Process of raising show himis?

This is very helpful, thank you :) Another question I forgot to ask; at what age do you introduce solids to the kits? I was going to use unlimited 18% protein feed and orchard hay for the doe, would these be okay to feed to kits aswell? And how much exactly?

    Process of raising show himis?

Hi, I am looking to getting into breeding Himalayans for show and plan to have my first litter within a couple months. I have done much research over the last couple years but I find it hard to locate information on exactly the timeline of raising kits, separating them from mom and into separate...

    Beginner himalayan show breeder questions

Thank you so much for that response, it was very informative! I will definitely keep all of that in mind. Another question; is it OK to breed parents to offspring and vice versa repeatedly for several generations, assuming the desired traits are being improved?

    Beginner himalayan show breeder questions

Hi, I’m a youth looking into breeding himalayans for show. I have had pet rabbits for a few years and have always been interested in showing but due to lack of space and money we’ve never been able to until now. I chose himalayans due to their gentle temperament, small size, ease of judging and...

    concerns with my rabbits??

she has a water bottle. i don't have a watering system or anything, i check their bottles every day to make sure they work properly. i see her drink out of her bottle plenty, and i cannot use a dish because they're all outside. i used to use crocks and they would pee in the water and things...

    concerns with my rabbits??

i just checked her front teeth. i'm not sure how to check their back teeth. when i do see her eat, it doesn't seem like shes struggling to chew or anything, no drooling either.

    concerns with my rabbits??

any ideas on how to help them? i almost definitely can't take them to the vet because of the cost. if there's any way at all to treat at home i will do it.

    concerns with my rabbits??

just went out to check on everyone. my little dutch doe also seems slow to eat her pellets and she has a huge appetite. she ate all of her hay though and she's still energetic as always. my himi ate most of her food, pellets and hay. it seems to only be an issue with the pellets.

    concerns with my rabbits??

i do but as far as i know they are not rabbit savvy. i'm also a minor and my mother is heavily leaning against taking a rabbit to the vet. about my mini rex, she never pees on her mat, just in one corner of her cage. she has had a bit of sore hocks in the past so i try to keep a mat in her cage...
