    Cali pops 16---and the feed update.

    Our Cali doe delivered 16 all alive today--our record for live births. OUr new custom feed is working as all the bred does delivered on time and with good litters. So gradual improvements are a welcome sight.

    I culled her and was amazed to see the physical characteristics of a lactating doe. The mammaries are quite extensive and milk leaked everywhere. It was a very interesting endeavor; I hated to put her down, but overall the decision was obvious...

    Odd doe behavior

    I would suggest that your feed isn't as high in protein as the label implies. It is also likely lacking the full spectrum of vitamins/minerals. We supplement with dandilion, willow, oat grass, kale, raspberry, blackberry and grass. This has helped with condition, breeding and growth.

    she is a tan bunny from a nz doe... I fostered her four over to the doe that had the larger litter. The foster mom is milking much harder and my third doe popped 7 this am. I have two due next week... yikes

    Put her in a cage with a box and hay; she may be close to parturition (delivery). I have had calm does get aggressive shortly before delivery too...
