I got a standard female Rex finally after searching for 6 months, they are very scarce to come by in Connecticut all you see is minis minis minis. So I got her and put her in this huge deluxe hutch I have with one of those back spaces that double as an area to get away from the cold a bedroom and or a nest area. I made the mistake of putting wood shavings there thinking well she doesn't need hay in that area since I have a hay feeder so I'll put wood shavings so she has something to keep warm so she's been going to the bathroom back there. So I took the wood shavings that were covered in her pee and I put it in the corner where the fence is where the poop can fall through etc into buckets that I catch underneath easy peasy clean up and I also put her droppings on top of that but she's very stubborn keeps going back there so I took out some of the shavings where she goes to the bathroom and I layered a couple of bricks she's a very good rabbit and it's almost humorous cuz it's like she knows what I'm doing. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Maybe I should close off that back area completely the front area is 5x3 so there's more than enough room right now, any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.
