Howdy! I have a black tort holland lop named Scout <3 I have his pedigree and it says his mom was a chocolate and his dad was a chocolate magpie... so how is Scout a black tort with two chocolate based parents?? Is there a mistake with the pedigree?

If he is truly a black tort (aaB_C_D_ee) then yes, he can't be out of two choc parents. Choc self (aabbC_D_E_) and Choc magpie (A_bbcchdD_ej_). No big "B"s, so as you say, no possible for black.
See thats what I thought so I'm wondering what happened, is the pedigree wrong do you think? I only have a picture of his chocolate mom sadly.
Here is a picture of him:

And here is his chocolate mom:

Is it at all possible he could be a chocolate tort? I was looking at the pictures and it seemed like he is more black, but not sure with the lighting if perhaps he is just a darker chocolate tort.

Hey @breezy1316 - What do you think? You might have the best idea on that since you can see him in natural lighting.
