After a week or two of hard work, my new cages are done! I finished the baby saver around the does' cages today and that's all that I'm going to do with them until I have rabbits worth keeping to put in the bottom cages, at which time I'll need legs for each stack. Everyone is moved in and happy, so now I can move on to my next project: a gravity fed water system.

It probably wouldn't have taken me so long to make the cages, but it's been really busy around here. First, the duck went broody (long story short, she wasn't suppose to go broody because she's a runner, but decided that she wanted to anyway and hid 13 eggs), so I had to figure out how to deal with that. And then other things kept coming up between work and family, but now everyone is situated, so we can start baby watch for the two does in the top two cages in the picture who just got their nestboxes earlier today. I can't wait for babies!

I would never dream of withholding duckling pictures! I'm not 100% sure when she started setting since she did this without my knowledge, but I think they're due to hatch the same day that the does are due. I'll have tons of babies to post pictures of!

Looks great!

Lucky you- you'll be able to take bunny with duckling pics! I'm jealous!

MamaSheepdog, I can send some to you if you'd like. Would 13 be enough?

Yes, they are all 14 gauge GAW. The wire is stiff enough to hold itself up, especially with the top wire and floor wire of each hole acting kind of like a brace, but I will be adding legs that will go all the way up the bottom cage so that there will be support at least for the bottom cage, but it would be fine without them. I'm bad at explaining technical things/processes, so sorry if none of that made sense LOL
