This is the kit that was solid black then started show some type of sheen to its fur. What color you think it is?

OK if it is a Steel Silver Tipped doe and I breed it back to its sire which appears to be black what will I get?
I'm not real sure - I'm still not good at color genetics. My best guess will be more steels and chestnut type colors. I'm sure others will be along that have a better idea.
There a lot genes at work here to make silver tipped steel so the colour possibilities are many.
If the sire is a true black then this kit carries one self gene and when bred to her father you should get 50% self based (blacks) and 50% agouti based. Of the agouti based kits you could get chestnut, chinchilla, gold tipped steel and silver tipped steel.
