Latin name Tragopogon dubius. Looks like some kind of fat grass before it gets flower stalks, then flowers look like very large, tall dandelions.
Anyone feed it to rabbits or know if it is considered safe? It's in the Asteraceae family and related to chicory.
I've been offering a single stalk at a time to my buck and he eats it readily. Search results suggest it is edible, but not very desirable to humans, and nothing really mentioned for livestock.
