Wanted: Chinchilla Info.

I am looking for info on Chinchilla's(not the rabbit the other type of animal)
Wandering Breeding?, Selling?, Is there a Market for the Pelts?
I had a great offer today on some breedng Chinchillas just want to see if it would be worth geting more than just the one that i had wanted :?:

The only thing I know about chinchillas (from when a college roommate owned one) is that you're not supposed to touch their fur if you intend to market the pelts. That, and they can hide in the most inaccessible places!

Hmm Im not sure of any breeders here anymore. I got mine from someone who doesnt breed them anymore lol I think their cool animals and ive seen them in a lot of pet stores.

I researched them and handled many while working at an exotic pet store. There is a huge market for pets, and apparently show stock as well! Who knew you could show a Chinchilla? I don't know that there's still a market for pelts, but you could contact one of the associations that handles Chinchilla breeding. They're very kind and helpful.
