"Re-Sawing" is a tricky job on a table saw. You've always got to keep your
mind in the game. TODAY...I made a mistake....I was cutting a board that
had a slight indentation along the outside edge that I wasn't aware of. The
blade was "inside" the board about a sixteenth of an inch. This is a different
pic, just to give you an idea what "re-sawing" looks like.
Yep! You guessed it...I got bit BUT GOOD. :x

and NO!! it 'ain't what it looks like..!! LOL. It's a finger off of a nitrile glove
I put over the bandage so I could keep workin'. "It's a long ways from my
heart." I stopped work about 4 p.m. and did chores. Got cut @ 9:30 am.

I started to just squirt some super-glue on it, but I didn't know how hard it
would be to change wet britches with a sliced off finger.

The following two pics show an approximation of the amount that got
sliced off of the opposing finger. There was nothing to "save"... the
blade ate it all up. Luckily, it didn't get into the bone. Came darned
close though. That straight edge was from the top of the saw blade.
Pretty neat....huh. LOL. :p :p :p

That's gonna be sore for a while! Glad it didn't get down to the bone.

 Gonna mess up my typing....Grrrr. I work on my stories each
morning....I'm not sure "what" this will do to my train of thought.

We'll have to wait and see.

Dang, Grumpy! That made my butt clench just looking at it. Deli-sliced in the a.m. & kept going til 4, eh? You're one tough bird. You remind me of my dad. Once when I was a little kid he sliced the top of one of his fingers almost clear off on some farm equipment. Wouldn't let my mom drive him in to the hospital until he took a bath and put on "town" clothes--didn't want to embarrass himself in his dirty work clothes. This was before Superglue was known as Superglue & widely available, otherwise knowing him he'd have just squirted some on, stuck it back together and kept working... hmm, like someone else here we all know.

Not to worry, Grumpy. You can always edit out those "OHHHH's" and "OUCH!!!" and cuss words later.

Thank Goodness it wasn't more serious. Hopefully, it will heal quickly.

I won't share any of the good pics, but my husband lost a few of his digest to a table saw too. Count yourself luck. Sorry about your figure though. :x

I have very deep cracks in my thumbs right where the end of the nails are.
They're on the inside corners which means I tend to bump them all of the time.
I've heavy callouses on both of my hands and they continually crack and
bleed in the colder parts of the year.

I've used emery boards, LOL...even my palm sander trying take some of
the hardened skin away from the outer edges of my nails....No Luck... :(

I recalled reading somewhere about super glue being used to close
surgical incisions and wounds from accidents, so I gave it a try. By Golly!!
It works. The cracks are still there, but so is my Super-Glue acting like a
"bumper" protecting my finner's. LOL.
