"Re-Sawing" is a tricky job on a table saw. You've always got to keep your
mind in the game. TODAY...I made a mistake....I was cutting a board that
had a slight indentation along the outside edge that I wasn't aware of. The
blade was "inside" the board about a sixteenth of an inch. This is a different
pic, just to give you an idea what "re-sawing" looks like.
Yep! You guessed it...I got bit BUT GOOD. :x
and NO!! it 'ain't what it looks like..!! LOL. It's a finger off of a nitrile glove
I put over the bandage so I could keep workin'. "It's a long ways from my
heart." I stopped work about 4 p.m. and did chores. Got cut @ 9:30 am.
I started to just squirt some super-glue on it, but I didn't know how hard it
would be to change wet britches with a sliced off finger.
The following two pics show an approximation of the amount that got
sliced off of the opposing finger. There was nothing to "save"... the
blade ate it all up. Luckily, it didn't get into the bone. Came darned
close though. That straight edge was from the top of the saw blade.
Pretty neat....huh. LOL.
