Hi, my foster son just got his first mini lop yesterday. She is listed as a sable chin on her pedigree. I have never dealt with sable before and I wonder if anyone could give me the genotype of this color? Thanks

It's the same as chinchilla but instead of the dark shaded gene it has the light shaded gene expressed = A_ B_ cchl_ D_ E_

Could be a sable agouti and lack a chin gene as well sinc they look virtually the same as a sable chin. Keep that in mind if you get REWs out of that rabbit when/if you breed her. I've gotten that little surprise before out of a "sable chin".
Thank you, her mom is a REW with black chin behind that, dad is a broken smoke pearl. I have dealt with chins in the mini satins but have never had any sables, smoke pearl or anything like that in my lines.
