Today my doe managed to push open the gate to the cage, and I had my other doe out running around the barn. They managed to meet up and started humping but didn't fight. Is it OK if I just let them go together supervised?

If you are absolutely sure it's two does, I would think it's ok if they're supervised.

Just keep an eye on them. The one that mounted the other may be ready to be bred. They do that when they are "feeling frisky", but it could also be a dominance display.

A little fur pulling is normal, but if they start tumbling, you need to separate them.

I have a colony set-up and my does are kept together. One even bit threw the others ear, but they were both fine. There was biting, grunting, tumbling, all of it. They even fought on and off for a week. Wasn't TOO horrible, it could have been a lot worse. If they are fine, and they are both does, I would leave them together.
