Okay, so this was my first attempt at posing my rabbits for evaluation, so be gentle with me :D .

I only had time to pose 3 out of my 6.

The biggest challenges were getting their hind feet lined up right, and keeping them from flattening their heads on the mat (especially Colbert).

From the best I can tell, it looks like they are lacking mostly through the loin, and a little in shoulder, with a late rise (of course, some of these things may just be because they're not posed right).

Tips? Critiques?

Let me know what you guys think (I know my poses need work  ).

Thanks in advance!

They look a bit stretched out to me.
I love Babette's name, that's my name in French class :)

Hello Pach,
Don't worry about it,
they are not Show Rabbits, They're Meat Rabbit!
If you like them and they serve [no pun intended] your purpose
they are just fine.

Thanks guys!

Ottersatin, I am a self-proclaimed perfectionist, so I want to breed the best, even if I'm going to be eating most of them. :D

They look great to me..nice and thick through the shoulder, wide loin and a good size rump, They should produce a very meaty carcass..Plus they are very pretty.. :D

The main problem with those Rabbits is:
They are quite Hippy, when you slide your hand
down their back if your fingers/hand gets hung up on
the hips they need development in the hindquarters.
You want a smooth flow with the rise beginning just behind the ears.
and coming down to a rounded slop to the floor.
This being stated they will most likely produce some nice meat rabbits.
But, why not have a Rabbit that can do double duty,
One that will produce fine MEAT Rabbits as well as many fine Show Rabbits?
Just a thought. We all must do what we feel is best for the members of our Herd.

first of all i have never raised show rabbits, [a few people who bought some from me said they did "OK" showing some] but-- here is a question, -- is it possible to get good show quality rabbits , that are also a good maternal line? In all of my years I have never bought "show quality" rabbits that were truly great producers-- I am sure someone out there probably has-- and-- I think the first rabbit pictured has beautiful conformation [but- what do I know]
