My current animals are a mix of backgrounds how they got here.
I bought some real cheap, and was gifted with the rest.

Did not know which rabbits might have been bred, so I had to
hustle to get nest boxes in with the does as a precaution.

I have not bred any yet myself. Plan is to get some bred for early
spring babies. In the meanwhile, I am trying to get some good feed
into them. I been feeding a mix of pellets, wheat, and some BOSS.
And all the hay they want to eat. I try to give them something as a
treat daily. Maybe a slice of apple, a piece of carrot, or a piece
of very dry hard bread, like rolls. I am pretty good at getting their
treats for very little cost. Hay, my son gets for me. It's the grains
that add up for $$$.

All seem to be doing good. One mini lop is molting. The other ML
that came with her is not molting. The male ML I got is growing
and looking real sharp. The other male lop looks to be a Holland.
He needs more weight on him. I am making sure to keep plenty
of feed in his dish.

The 3 adult mini rex are all looking sharp. Only the male molted.
Each doe had 5 babies, and I kept 2 daughters from each one. All
the daughters look really good for condition and size.

The NZ are different sizes. Some look pure, and some look mixed.
One girl is huge. Maybe part flemish and she sure can pack it away.
I am keeping plenty of food in front of these animals also. Maybe
generous portions might be a better word. I can't say any of them
are fat by any means.

So what would be good to help condition the rabbits ?
Any different feeds ? Ideas ? Thoughts :)

And if there is already a post about this ....
point me in the right direction .........
Thanks !

I edited this a bit to hopefully explain better what I am trying to do.

Other than the one buck it sounds like your rabbits are doing fine and actually overweight animals often have difficulty producing.

Most breeding rabbits that need 'conditioning' usually need more protein so giving them a little extra can help.

Show rabbits that need 'conditioning' are usually given extra BOSS to get a nice sheen to their coat and slightly thicker fat layer so they have a nice feel to them.

To 'condition' pet rabbits I usually recommend more exercise to firm up their muscle tone and my breeders get to romp around in a 10x10 space a couple times a week for physical and mental stimulation.
