IMHO -and- [I am no "spokesperson for God " -and I don't think to highly of religion], --I would agree that the Bible said that it will happen, but not that the Bible promises that it will be "soon"
according to what I read [and my personal interpretation of course ] Daniel is the only place that gives a clear and definitive time frame, and -even if the "covenant of many" were signed today, it would still be a very long and trouble filled 7 years ,until the event you speak of. --..again JMHO
